The tenth ESITO meeting will be held from September 15 to September 22 in Roscoff, Brittany, France (http://www.roscoff-tourisme.com). Participants will arrive on Saturday 15 and the scientific program will start on Sunday 16 in the morning. The meeting will continue throughout the week with a one-day break for an excursion. The meeting will close on Friday evening, September 21 with departure on Saturday morning. Up-to-date information will be posted at this website
The meeting will be held at the Marine Biology Station in Roscoff (http://www.sb-roscoff.fr/Accueil/index-eng.html), a well equipped but unpretentious conference site. Low-price accommodation will be available at the Station itself, and hotels in proximity offer rooms in all categories.
A registration fee will be charged to cover meals and local transportation. We hope to be able to raise financial support, to avoid asking you for a contribution to the remaining organisational costs.
The following topics for the meeting are suggested:
1. Molecular biology and physiology of chemosensory reception and transduction processes
2. Coding of chemical signals and functional anatomy of the chemosensory systems
3. Development and evolution of chemosensory systems
4. Plasticity of chemosensory systems
5. Modeling and robotics
6. Chemical ecology
7. Applied aspects/ pest control

Very soon we shall outline the preliminary program, which will be designed according to previous successful formats. Sessions with oral presentations will be held in the morning and late afternoon, leaving time for discussions and other activities. Poster sessions will be arranged around topics, and poster presenters will have the opportunity of giving a 5-minute data-blitz PowerPoint-assisted talk summarizing their poster, with 3-5 minutes for a brief question-and-answers session.

As in past meetings, presenters of talks and posters will be asked to provide an abstract. These will be published on-line and a printed version of the proceeding abstracts will be prepared for the meeting.
The ESITO Chair and her Organizing Committee look forward to seeing you in Roscoff!
